ABOUT THE ART
Few contemporary artists have created a visual language as instantly recognizable as Yayoi Kusama. Celebrated worldwide for her mesmerizing polka dots, immersive installations and imaginative sculptures, the Japanese artist transformed the humble pumpkin into one of the most iconic and beloved symbols in contemporary art.
Kusama's fascination with pumpkins dates back to her childhood in Japan, where their distinctive shapes and comforting presence left a lasting impression. Throughout her career, the pumpkin became a recurring subject, representing warmth, familiarity and the artist's deeply personal connection to the natural world.
The Soft Sculpture Pumpkin translates this celebrated imagery into a charming miniature collectible. Featuring the familiar bulbous silhouette and hypnotic polka-dot patterns of Kusama's larger sculptural works, the plush design captures the playful spirit of her artistic universe in a compact, tactile form.
Available in the artist's signature yellow with black dots and red with white dots, each miniature pumpkin includes a coordinating polka-dot presentation box and an attached gold-tone keychain clasp, bringing together collectible art and functional design.
A delightful tribute to one of contemporary art's most enduring motifs, these miniature pumpkins offer collectors an accessible way to celebrate Kusama's extraordinary artistic legacy.
