ABOUT THE ART
Originally painted in oil and acrylic on masonite, Ryan McCann's "Death To Koons" is the second work to take down a contemporary art world star. McCann began battling Banksy, and he's continued his march taking on the pride of York, PA. The piece finds an enraged artist dunking Koons in one of his own equilibrium tanks.
In 2003 Ryan McCann signed a contract to play quarterback for the Cincinnati Bengals. When that career was abruptly ended he used his obsession with fire to make art.
