ABOUT THE ART

This is (for now) a simple experiment in taking things back to the fundamentals of colour, form and composition. We love how, despite it being a single wood cut piece, the circles and figure feel so independent from each other. Also fascinating to see how the different colour palette in each colourway impact the piece’s tone.

ARTIST BIO

"We're Pahnl, we're a street art duo and we paint miniature people, dogs, cats and birds out in the street.

Going strong since 2006, we use stencils, stickers, posters, animation, screen printing, sculpture, film and photography to bring our small world to life. Craft and process is the best part.

If a piece on the street isn’t conscious of its context, is it really street art? It has to recognize where it is, otherwise what’s the point? It may as well be up in a gallery at that stage! At least, that’s our approach."
