ABOUT THE ART
Known for his iconic hand imagery, bold lettering and unmistakable visual identity, OG Slick is the Los Angeles-based graffiti artist has spent decades transforming the language of the streets into an internationally recognized artistic brand.
In collaboration with innovative designer toy manufacturer Superplastic, OG Slick brought his distinctive creative universe to life through the SuperKranky series, a collection of oversized spray-can-inspired vinyl figures that celebrate the rebellious spirit and creative energy of graffiti culture.
Released in February 2023, 'Black Widow' was the second installment in the five-part series, originally introduced as an exclusive release during a special OG Slick event at Superplastic's New York City location.
Standing an impressive 8 inches tall, the figure transforms an ordinary aerosol paint can into an animated, six-armed graffiti character. Its striking black, white and metallic silver colorway is complemented by oversized cartoon gloves, miniature painting accessories and OG Slick's signature graphic treatments. A removable, paint-dripping cap reveals a metallic spray nozzle, while an internal rattle recreates the familiar sound of an actual spray-paint can.
Produced in a limited edition of just 500 figures, Black Widow captures the playful ingenuity and unmistakable attitude that have made OG Slick's work so popular among graffiti enthusiasts and designer toy collectors alike.
What makes this particular example especially collectible is its original presentation box, personally hand-signed by OG Slick in black marker. The artist's bold signature across the front adds a unique element to this already limited, sold-out release.
Combining authentic graffiti heritage, inventive character design and contemporary collectible culture, Black Widow is a distinctive example of how street art continues to evolve beyond walls and canvases into the world of three-dimensional art.
