ABOUT THE ART
Celebrating the 30th Anniversary and inspired by ICE CUBE's infamous 1991 album "Amerikkka's Most Wanted" featuring the hit 'The Bomb' and the subsequent tour that followed. Most importantly, the performance at Minneapolis' First Avenue, literally a few days after The Rodney King Incident, which turned into one of the most violent concerts in history - and also one of the most memorable as Ice Cube exploded all over the stage and the hip hop scene!
Vector pop-culture artist Orlando Arocena (Mexifunk), a long-time fan of Ice Cube, represents the intensity that is evoked and delivered through Ice Cube’s controversial lyrics and empowering persona with a visual metaphor that relates to the social climate.
With a massive representation, a skull-faced bomb encased in an ice cube with a lit fuse, flexing its boldness, commanding attention and ready to explode all over a police-surrounded downtown area.
