Lacrymal (Jimmy) was born in 1990 in Aubervilliers. There, he began his practice as a self-taught artist, painting on the walls of his city characters that he mixed with collages mounted with software and which he had printed. His works thus appear as a tension of two types of artistic forms, shapes and painting strokes. He exhibits in several European countries.
In 2018, Jimmy chooses the pseudonym Lacrymal, (related to the gland that secretes the tears) for his paintings. There is a lot of humour in his compositions, which reinterpret works by great masters or works of modern popular culture, such as musicians, actors or other visual artists of modernity.
