ABOUT THE ART
'Hot Diggity Dog' brings the wonderfully eccentric imagination of British-born, New York-based contemporary artist Jon Burgerman to life in an oversized, inflatable work of functional pop art.
Created in collaboration with Third Drawer Down in 2022, this playful pool float transforms the familiar summertime hot dog into one of Burgerman's signature cartoon characters, complete with oversized googly eyes, a mischievous expression and a bright yellow squiggle of mustard.
Known for his distinctive doodle-inspired artwork, Burgerman has built an internationally recognized visual language centered on humor, improvisation, vibrant colors and whimsical anthropomorphic characters. His work frequently blurs the boundaries between contemporary art, illustration, street art and everyday objects, encouraging audiences to engage with art in unexpected ways.
Measuring an impressive 63 inches long, Hot Diggity Dog embodies Burgerman's playful approach to art and design, transforming an ordinary swimming-pool accessory into a larger-than-life collectible sculpture.
Produced in collaboration with Australian art and design company Third Drawer Down, the sold-out release reflects the brand's philosophy of making contemporary art accessible through imaginative, artist-designed objects.
Equal parts pop art, designer collectible and summertime novelty, Hot Diggity Dog is a colorful example of Burgerman's ability to inject personality and humor into the most unexpected places.
