JJ Adams is an English artist originally from South West England born in 1985, he currently lives and works in London. He studied graphic design at the Cape College in Cape Town, South Africa, while working as a part-time apprentice at a tatoo salon in the center of the city.
New media and mixed medias are the focus of his artistic research, who explore the boundaries between pop art, digital art and photography.
He emigrated to South Africa in the beginning of the 80s and spent most of his youth in the studio of the South African artist Derric Van Rensburg. It was during the time he lived in South Africa that he discovered his fascination for strong colors and graphic art.
