ABOUT THE ART & ARTISTS
D'Face's faux "American Express" card aptly adjusted to read "American Depress"! A great example of D*Face's iconic humor playing on consumer issues of common people. Inscribed at the bottom is the embossed of "Your Name Here" lower left. Among other street artists, D*Face has eagerly been entering the auction market, possibly another subliminal play from him as using your "American Express" to invest in the 'American Depress'. Created in 2008 at a show he had in London, measures 2 1/4 x 3 1/5 inches, just like your credit card!
D*Face is most known for his graffiti art originating in London. His first major London solo exhibition, "Death and Glory," was sold out in 2006 at the StolenSpace Gallery. Influenced by other street artists like Banksy and Shepard Fairey, D*Face has also been breaking the barrier of street and fine art.
Released in conjunction with Banksy's Dismaland Bemusement Park and stamped on the signature line on reverse. Stamped D*Face on reverse bottom right. Displayed in a floating frame and ready to hang!
