American artist Dalek (James Marshall) has developed one of contemporary street art's most recognizable visual identities through his iconic Space Monkey character, a mischievous, wide-eyed figure that has evolved into a vibrant universe of geometric abstraction, psychedelic color and controlled chaos. Influenced by graffiti, Japanese animation, skate culture and Pop Art, Dalek's work combines cartoon-inspired imagery with an increasingly sophisticated exploration of color, composition and visual movement.
Released in 2024, Marching to Oblivion brings Dalek's unmistakable Space Monkey to life in a wildly energetic composition bursting with saturated color and surreal imagery. The Wild Cherry variant features an electric red background against which a lime-green Space Monkey marches forward, surrounded by floating eyeballs, exaggerated appendages and playful geometric elements.
