ABOUT THE ART

'Night Flight' is a surreal vision where orcas glide beneath a sky alive with stars and aurora, their presence echoing the majesty of a planet still in balance. The boundary between ocean and sky dissolves, reminding us that everything in nature is connected. Through dreamy clouds and celestial light, the orcas swim with grace and urgency, symbols of wildness, kinship, and deep intelligence.

But this beauty is under threat. Orcas face mounting dangers due to human impact: warming oceans disrupt their prey, toxic pollutants accumulate in their bodies, noise pollution scrambles their communication, and shrinking ice and coastal habitats squeeze their range. Climate change and industrial activity have pushed even the most remote parts of their world into instability.

This piece calls us to remember our responsibility. Protecting orcas means protecting the ocean itself. It means shifting how we live, consume, and connect with the planet. These guardians of the deep still swim, but the time to act for them is now.
