ABOUT THE ART

Malaga-born Javier Calleja, the only Spanish artist to participate in Osaka in the exhibition dedicated to Mickey Mouse.

Shibuya Parco has teamed up with Disney for an exciting new art collaboration at the Parco Museum Tokyo. Revolving around Disney's most iconic character, the exhibit showcases different interpretations of 'Mickey Mouse' by artists around the world.

Curated by Tokyo’s contemporary art gallery Nanzuka Underground, the exhibition includes pieces by Japanese artists Hajime Sorayama and Tanaami Keiichi as well as works by renowned international names like Javier Calleja, Yoon Hyup, James Jarvis, Oliver Payne and Darren Romanslli.

Aside from the museum space, there’ll also be a couple of free art pieces to check out on Shibuya Parco’s first floor, including giant 3D Mickey Mouse installations by Sorayama and Calleja.

The exhibition also includes a "Mickey Mouse: Now and Future" Pop-up Truck which will be touring Parco and Daimaru locations nationwide. The truck will offer original merchandise from the exhibition such as keychains, capsule toys and other art and fashion items from Shibuya Parco 2G.
