ABOUT THE ART

In 2022, it was the anniversary of the NBA, the best basketball league in the world. As is known, the NBA has two great owners of two nationalities; one American and the other from China. The latter was in charge of organizing the great commemorative exhibition in Asia, and for this he counted with the artist Edgar Plans and his characters.

This ambitious project has traveled to different Asian cities: Shanghai, Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Singapore and will close its journey in Seoul soon.

The artist, Edgar Plans, told the media that he had been a basketball lover since he was a child. And like most kids of the 80s generation, he dreamed of playing in that big league along with his idols Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, Kobe Bryant…

This exhibition has allowed him to pay tribute to these players, through large-format sculptures (the first to see the light of day in his work) and merchandising products. Basketball courts have even been designed so that visitors could show their best basketball.
